These two things are essential if we want to learn how to develop our leadership careers.
This can relate to language acquisition. In any organization learning to communicate with your team is of the utmost importance. You will need to know how you will communicate with your team. English is widely spoken in the business world, but some of your team members may not speak or understand fluently.
Understand that with diverse teams miscommunication can cost the organization money, and create frustration for both parties.
If you want to work in the Netherlands I suggest some Dutch lessons could be appropriate. This will also come in handy if you need to order food at a restaurant or find a restroom.
A culturally diverse talent pool will need to learn to gel as a team. To better prepare for a career abroad, please take the time to learn a little bit about the culture of the Netherlands, and if possible of those you will work with.
It is so easy for people from different cultures to unknowingly offend someone else.
You will be surprised that some common gestures for you are offensive to someone of another culture. As professionals it is important to invest in your future by learning about the holidays, religions, food, and other aspects of their culture.
